The Full Story

Paternoster Books and Writings is a shared creative platform for the works of Benjamin Brénainn and Elizabeth Brénainn. What began as a place to house and publish our own writing has grown into a space dedicated to thoughtful storytelling, spiritual exploration, and the pursuit of truth through words.

Our work is rooted in a shared belief that truth is not only studied, but encountered. Drawing from both theological reflection and lived experience, our writing explores the nature of God, the depth of human relationship, and the intersection between the seen and unseen.

Benjamin’s work, including his manuscript Divine Mysteries, leans into the language of older spiritual traditions—writing that invites readers not just to understand, but to encounter. Elizabeth’s perspective brings a grounded, practical lens—bridging the abstract with clarity, structure, and lived reality.

While Paternoster Books and Writings currently serves as a home for our own work, we hope to one day expand into a broader platform—supporting and publishing other voices who share a commitment to depth, truth, and meaningful expression.

Paternoster Books and Writings is a Christian mystical sanctuary for those seeking intimacy with God- our Heavenly Father. The aim is to be an educational and devotional space of learning about union with God, in the blood of Jesus Christ and through the power of the Holy Spirit. All teachings are in Holy alignment with the biblical scriptures, apostolic tradition and writings of the saints. Paternoster assumes an integrated worldview of being both Liturgical and Pentecostal; this is seen as one whole as taught by the early Church.

All content is original and human, thus not in any way generated by artificial intelligence. In this we discuss mysticism, theology, philosophy, psychology, and the sciences- through a historical Christian lens - to illuminate the path toward experiencing the presence of God.
